Hello my name is Samuel. I have been interested in photography since the age of 17 when my best friend gave me his Sears K1000 35mm camera.
My passion for photography comes from my eclectic mixed experiences in life. I grew up in the surburbs of Philadelphia Metro area. I am avid outsdoorsman and motorcyclist. I attended North Carolina A&T State University, where I earned my BS in Architectural Engineering, After graduation I served in the US Coast Guard, as a commissioned officer and experienced many places from Tokyo, Japan to Lisbon, Portugal. I love living between the urban and rural areas because I able to capture both worlds.
I enjoy taking portraits of people. I strongly believe there is beauty in everyone whether a person is thin, junk in the trunk, short, tall or whatever. My personal mission is to bring that beauty out in everyone, to find the highlights of their personality and let it be shown in my photography. I love connecting with the people and places I photograph. Catching that smile or laugh in my portraits or at a event that most people miss is what I try capture in my photography.
I was selected in 2012 to become part of growing organization called RAWArtists.org . My photography was on exhibit in Philadelphia in June of 2012. The great thing about being part of the organization I am now linked in with other natural born artists in 64 cities and have the opportunity to exhibit my photography in those cites. So be on the look out for me.
